No offense to anyone, but I don't think many people care anymore. Even TBM's don't seem to give 2 shits about conference. My social media feeds don't show much about it. Talked to a friend today and he wasn't planning on watching or listening. He basically said that if anything earth shattering is announced he will hear about it.

I mean, why watch when they are just going to regurgitate this stuff over the pulpit for the next 6 months. It is stale white bread. No point.

I have seen that the conference threads here have less and less involvement. I tried to watch conference and was so bored I missed some things that MoPag picked up on. I stopped watching it, but went back when I heard Uchtdorf was talking. I enjoyed his talk, but X'd out of conference again when he finished.

It's more of mild curiosity for me now.

Thankfully, I don't have to endure that, but you make a very good point. Why bother when it's going to be vomited back to you over and over again for the next 6 months?

So even the faithful LDS are less interested in watching it, too.

I don't attend anymore, so I don't have to deal with the regurgitation.
For me, it's cathartic. When I was TBM, I believed everything they said at GC was really from God. Now it's nice to process it, think critically and call out their bullsh!t in real time. And if I can be slightly entertaining in the process, that's a win.

Speaking of “nobody cares anymore” we used to get like 300-500 lurkers and 50 signed in members and 20 different commenters here during conference. Now it says I am the only one signed in and we have 7 lurkers and 2 bots. Sure, NOM is not attracting near as many people now that so many folks are leaving the church that it is much easier, but still this is low for a conference session.
